The Big 3-0!

30 Weeks. I'm in the home stretch!!

Drew doing his best "me" impersonation.

Can I emphasize the word "BIG" again? The last picture I posted was from a month ago. I can't believe my belly has literally doubled in size since then. I went to the doctor a few days ago and it's still showing that I have only gained 5 lbs total this pregnancy. I have a feeling the numbers are going to skyrocket in the next 10 weeks. Can you believe I only have 10 weeks left? It has gone by pretty fast but it's starting to feel like I have been pregnant for a century. I still exercise 30 minutes a day, 6 times a week. I'm doing my best to stay healthy for the baby and I. People at the gym are constantly glaring at me or saying "why are you working out?'' People also like to comment on how I haven't gained enough weight and my belly isn't big enough. I just take it as a compliment. If the doc says we're both healthy than I am going to keep working out. It gives me extra energy and I feel much better about myself when I get a good workout in. We have also cut our desserts back to twice a week, and let me tell you it has been rough!

So now for a little bit of sad news. I called into my doctor's office to make an appointment (who I transferred to about 2 months ago). Drew and I absolutely love him and think he is the greatest OB. Anyways, he went on emergency medical leave for 3 MONTHS. I almost died when I found out. I don't know what happened but I know it is pretty serious for him to be out of work for 3 months. I really hope he is okay. Selfishly, I was really sad about it because there is no other doctor that compares to Dr. Watson. Sooooo it's on to another doctor. Dr. Prince works in the same office as Dr. Watson and he is supposed to be really good as well. He delivered my friend Sarah Passey's baby girl a few months ago. I trust Sarah's opinion to the fullest.

Drew is doing good. He's goofy as usual. I told him I wanted to take a nice picture of him because he looked so handsome and this is what I got. I guess his impersonation of me is probably spot on. Dramatic as usual. He is getting really excited for the Misses to get here. He is also excited to getting military training and the LSAT over with. He just wants it to be October already. Since baby girl is measuring big she might just come a little bit early. We will see. Drew is so excited to be called "Daddy". He's the best.

28 Weeks.

I am 7 months pregnant and I refuse to post a picture. I am beyond swollen and I look like a chipmunk. I'm getting to that stage where it's hard to get up out of our little Hyundai, and it's REALLY hard to get up off the floor. I just roll out of bed and pull myself up. I have been averaging 2-4 hours of sleep per night. This kid is fuhreaking active. Okay so those are my only complaints. Do you know how nice people are to pregnant women? I am not kidding you I feel like I get special treatment from complete strangers. It's awesome. People come and open my car door when they see me and carry my groceries.... It's really great. I'm also starting to develop a semi-waddle, but only when I'm really tired and my feet get swollen. The other great news is that SCHOOL IS OUT THIS WEEK! It's finals week and I can't wait. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with myself after school gets out.

So... We thought that Drew was leaving the entire month of August and a little bit of September. Since the military hates us they JUST told Drew last weekend that they aren't sure if they can send him anymore. It sounds like good news but in reality it's not. This means he will most likely be going in October when baby girl gets here. I don't know how I will be able to be a mom and heal from having a baby on my own. My mom will be able to come for a week or 10 days but she still has 4 kids at home. I am just praying and praying that he will be able to swing another deal so that he doesn't have to leave after she gets here.

Drew is still working so hard. I don't know how he stays sane with a psycho pregnant wife, school, work, LSAT prep, and military stuff. How does a person handle it? And on top of that he still treats me like gold. He does the dishes and takes the trash out, he makes sure to spend a little time with me everyday, even if it's only 15 minutes. I can't help but think, "WOW, I'm so lucky."

Hello, Third Trimester.

Yes, I have made it to the third trimester and I am still alive. We got the coolest 3D ultrasound of our Baby Girl. I'm not kidding you, this child looks EXACTLY like her daddy. I'm almost offended that she doesn't have any of my features. Maybe she will look more like me when she gets here but I'm not super confident about that. She has Drew's brow ridge, nose, lips, chin...what doesn't she have that looks like Drew? He is so proud of himself. During the ultrasound she yawned so big and was flinging her legs all over the place. She is still breach and we are hoping she will turn within the next few weeks. I am feeling pretty good. I have finally gained 5 lbs (total) during this pregnancy. I exercise everyday and try my best to make healthy meals. We have been cutting out red meats and fattening things. I also only cook with olive oil. I don't even have butter in my house. The one thing that always seems to get me is dessert. I'm addicted to dessert.

Drew is doing good. He is working, going to school full-time, and studying for the LSAT. I really don't see him a lot. He eats breakfast and lunch at the desk and takes a few breaks a day to water the garden or get a drink. The other night he studied from 10 am- 2am with an hour break to shoot some hoops. That is 14 hours of studying. I am so proud of him for working so hard. He is so excited to go to law school and start a new chapter in his life. I mean, he has been in college for almost 7 years......haha?? Anyways he is so wonderful and is putting a lot of work into his LSAT prep so he can get into a good law school. Even with Drew's busy schedule he stills finds time to take me on a date every Friday night. I just love that guy.

Love, Don't judge.

"Life is perfect for none of us, Rather than being judgmental and critical of each other, may we have the pure love of Christ for our fellow travelers in this journey through life." -Thomas S Monson

Miracles Happen.

This is a story of my good friend Ethan Ewing. This is a story for anyone who doesn't think miracles can happen; they can. These are a few pictures of Ethan and I our Senior Year of High School (I couldn't get the one up from the 8th grade dance). We grew up together and have lots of fun memories.
A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call saying that Ethan had been in a horrible accident. He is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lima, Peru. Ethan was hit by a moto-taxi going full speed. This accident caused a 7 inch skull fracture. Of course, he isn't in America so nobody was sure what kind of health care he would be able to get. Soon after the accident it looked like Ethan was going to make it, but they weren't sure if he would have brain damage. A few days after that he was coherent and able to talk with his parents. His progression was great and he was getting "back to normal". 10 days after the accident, Ethan WALKED out of the hospital. This picture was taken as he was being released from the hospital.
Miracles DO happen. How is it that a young man, doing all that the Lord has asked of him, fractured his skull and walked out of the hospital 10 days later? I know that the Lord is so merciful to those who serve him. I have seen so many great miracles in my life. I know that our Heavenly Father is there and will bless us all that he can.
