Baby Gifts Galore

My mom has done so much for me. She has really become one of my best friends. I have never seen a more excited s00n-to-be-grandma in my life.

Becky Christensen and Andrea Whittle threw me a super fun baby shower while I was home. This is when I was organizing everything. I can't believe how giving people are. I got pretty much everything I needed for baby girl.

I know.... I'm huge! Just a few weeks left.

I made it back to Rexburg and have not gone into labor yet. Thank goodness! I was terrified to fly home yesterday because I didn't want to jump start labor after everything that has gone on these past few weeks. As I was sitting there, freaking out, getting ready to board my flight, I saw some familiar faces. It was the Wagner's! They were flying into Idaho Falls to help Waylen get moved in to his new apartment in Rexburg. I have known the Wagner's for as long as I can remember and I was so grateful to have seen them. I finally felt peace as I was getting on the plane, knowing that they would take care of me if anything happened. The airlines even let me board when the called "family boarding". I was in the very front of the plane. They also checked my carry on bag for free. Some days I wonder why the Lord has shown me so many tender mercies. As I have struggled without Drew I have seen the very many blessings that the Lord has provided. I can't even begin to write the long list of blessings I have been given, especially these last few weeks. The days when I am just dying to call Drew and I am so lonely are also the days where I am so blessed. Each day that passes is just another day closer to Drew's return date.

Staying down and chillin' out.

This week has been crazy. I hadn't been feeling very well so I decided it would be best to go see an OB here in Vegas to make sure everything was going okay. To my surprise I have started to dilate a little bit and my cervix is softening quickly. They advised me not to fly home as it can cause greater dilation and preterm labor. Since I don't have another way back to Idaho I'm going to fly anyways... and pray that this baby stays where she is.

I haven't talked to Drew since Sunday. Although it is really hard, I am confident that he is well taken care of. I sent him a text letting him know that the baby will probably come earlier than expected. He was able to send me a text the following night to let me know that he told his instructors and they are waiting for my, "I'm in labor" phone call. Not that it would really make a difference because he wouldn't make it to Idaho in time and he would have to start MCT all over again. I didn't want to worry him too much so I didn't give him details about what is going on. It's killing him that he can't be here right now to support me and get things ready for baby. I am so lucky to have a husband who truly cares about his family. He also told me how excited he is for baby girl to get here! We both can't wait. Until then I am staying down completely. No exercise (ugh!), no errands, and definitely no more shopping around the amazing Vegas malls. I have to keep chill until Drew gets home so we can have this baby together. I am so grateful for everything my family has done to help me get through this time without Drew. I really have nothing in life to complain about. My life is wonderful and I am very blessed.
