The Top Five.

Okay. We have narrowed it down. For our date we did a little activity with baby names. We each wrote a list of 5 names. We then switched lists and crossed off two that we didn't like from the other persons.

Drew's List

Katherine (??? where did that come from)
Emma
Claire
Grace
Analeise

Kayla's List
Amelia
Grace
Lia
Anabel
Ivy

THE FINAL LIST
Grace
Lia
Anabel
Claire
Emma

So.... These are the names we will be taking to the hospital with us. We both love all of them (except i'm not a huge fan of Emma--too overused). Now everyone can stop bothering me and asking me what we are naming her. We don't know! I always get so uptight when someone asks me what we're naming her. It stresses me out because I don't want to think about it yet. Honestly, it's a huge pet peeve. Obviously if I knew what we were going to name her I would have announced it by now. I'm so glad that we came to a list of 5. The real task will be picking just one. Then we also have to choose a middle name. Am I the only person who gets all stressed about having to name a kid? I always think of the names other kids could call her or if she will get teased in any way. I'm just weird.

We are so in love with this baby girl. Drew always says cute things like, "I can't wait til' our daughter gets here" or "I can't wait to teach our daughter how to shoot guns." Don't really know where the second one came from but he said that the other day. He is going to be such an amazing dad. When Drew starts talking really close to me baby girl starts kicking like crazy. At first I thought it was just coincidence but it happens every time! She loves her daddy already. The best part about the whole thing is loving each other more. Drew and I have become best friends and it is such a great feeling.

6 Months and a Wedding.

I am 6 months pregnant.

Tyson and Melissa got married!!!

We got to go to Vegas.

Tyson married his high school sweetheart. My entire extended family was also at the wedding and that always makes for a good time. Drew and I drove to Salt Lake and flew down to Vegas early Thursday morning. The wedding was Friday morning in the Las Vegas temple. It was such a beautiful sealing. They were married in the same room that Drew and I were married in, so it was really special. I am always amazed at the fact that I get to be with Drew for eternity. He is my best friend. I love him a million times more than the day I married him and I know that the Linklove that we have for each other will continue to grow through the years. He is truly my better half. I know that Tyson and Melissa will be the same way. They have been waiting many years for this day. It was surreal when it actually came. We love Melissa so much and are so excited that she is part of the family.

I also got to pick up all of the cute baby clothes while I was in Vegas. My mom has been going crazy. I found baby girl's blessing dress too! She is going to be dressed just like me, haha. My belly was a complete hand magnet at Tyson's reception. Everyone wanted to touch it. My mom got to feel her kick a few times. She is going to be the most loved baby in the world. I have so many people who support me and it's just so awesome. I can't believe I'm this lucky.

23 Weeks

Yes, I'm carrying VERY high. And yes, that look in my eyes is a look of exhaustion. Baby Girl loves to wake up at 3 AM and kick until 6 AM. Is it weird to say that I'm okay with being exhausted because I love her so much? I do. I love her so much.

Last week Drew and I went to my new OB. We got an ultrasound and the doctor spent a lot of time zoomed in on her face. Before this ultrasound Drew didn't really understand how I felt about this baby. He didn't really have a chance to develop a connection with her because she's in me. When the doc zoomed in on her face Drew turned to me, and with a cute little grin and a sparkle in his eye he said, "She looks just like me!" It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. After that he was telling me how it finally clicked for him that he gets to be her daddy.

Nothing huge has been going on. I'm still super busy with classes and Drew is busy with work and LSAT prep. I will update my blog on baby shower details when I know them all. It will be sometime in August when Drew leaves with the military.

22 Weeks

Yes, I'm THAT huge at only 5 1/2 months pregnant. Why doesn't anyone tell you how huge you get during pregnancy? I hopped on the scale this morning and have lost another 2 lbs. So I am 2 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight. I still can wear my pre-pregnancy jeans too, but it is a tight squeeze some days. I'm starting to wonder what I looked like before I was pregnant. I don't even remember what having a waist line looks like. Feeling good and counting down the days.
